SPIC’s pact for training with Netsmartz India
Tribune, Chandigarh, April 15, 2005
The Department of Information Technology, through the Society for Promotion of IT in Chandigarh (SPIC), entered into an agreement with Netsmartz India, Mohali, to jointly establish, maintain and operate an e-learning curriculum carrying out training programmes via the internet or CDs.
An official press note said Netsmartz India would use its own training delivery methodology in consultation with SPIC. Netsmartz India would be an authorised provider of online, internet, CD, and electronic training to students undergoing the Chandigarh Training on Soft Skills programme (C-TOSS) in the city and the region. This agreement would help SPIC to take its C-TOSS training programme to even bigger and higher level. This would help those students who did not have the training agreement in their colleges as this would now be available online.
The C-TOSS programme has eight modules, which includes Voice and Accent Training, Communication Skills, Customer Service, Telesales, Global Culture, Soft Skills and Computer Proficiency. This programme is already running successfully in schools and colleges of Chandigarh, besides SPIC is also running this programme in colleges and schools of Haryana under an agreement with the Education Department of Haryana.
