Land allotted for IT Center

Netsmartz allotted land for setting up an offshore development facility at the Chandigarh IT Park
The Chandigarh Administration has approved the allotment of four built- to-suit sites at the Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park as per the draw of lots which took place today in the Estate Office in the presence of representatives of all eligible companies.
The companies which were allotted the land included the RT Outsourcing from New Delhi and Netsmartz from USA in Category I, Net Solutions and Karin Infotech Limited in Category II of the CISP rules.
All four companies are leading IT companies in their respective fields. The advertisements seeking applications for the four built-to-suit sites were placed in the month of January 2006 against which 55 companies had given application.
Out of these 57 companies, 23 were found to be eligible companies and draw of lots took place among these companies separately for both categories.
While category I had six companies in fray, the remaining 17 were in Category II.
As many as nine companies have been already allotted land after the last two draw of lots.
